Choosing a sporran is a very personal thing, so many to choose from, so
many prices to consider. Plain black, or brown, is worn during the day,
while the more ornately decorated sporrans are
traditionally worn at night. However, there has become a
trend to have a multi-purpose day/night sporran with the base being day and
a small amount of silver for decoration. Sporran straps come with all
my sporrans; they are not an "extra".
